3/25/2023 0 Comments Harrison mixbus 32c reviewIf they focus their attention on the sequencing element and finally bring the VST support up to scratch I'll never use another DAW again. I don't quite buy the 'only tool you need' marketing hype, BUT, having a high/low pass and parametric EQ on each channel, as well as the rudimentary comp/leveler/limiter right there (and the ability to arrange those elements within your insert chain,) is fucking brilliant. is bloody great and means you have tools at your disposal to very quickly treat or audition treatments as you go. I'm sure it would come in handy for certain applications with live instruments but my templates have those dials set firmly to 0% and tend to stay that way. Overall, I'd give it an 8/10 in its current state, as the onboard EQ, comp, phase control, routing etc. sounds great but there seems to be a distortion over everything.' - it's so subtle that you don't notice it/become accustomed to it, but to fresh ears it sounds like it's been run through a saturator at 100% wet. If anything it tends to fuck things right up if you accidentally leave it on and results in feedback like 'uhh. I've yet to find a use for the 'drive/analog saturation' on the busses and master. Very fiddly, though also incredibly powerful once you figure it out. Unfortunately it isn't up to scratch for in-depth production work just yet, and the automation's like pulling teeth. The sequencing functionality admittedly has a long way to go. That's another great thing- your key is valid for a full version number and you can install on as many of your own computers as you'd like. That said I do know that they've gone a long way to fix plugin compatibility in v6, though I don't believe VST3 is supported yet (don't quote me on that!) Harrison's native plugins are great, though not very pretty, and as an added bonus if you keep an eye out they very regularly give selections away to registered users, and they're lifetime keys. All of my Waves, iZotope, Nomad Factory etc show up, and the only ones I have issues with are by iZotope, which tend to crash the program at random. I haven't been able to get my AIR plugins (Vacuum Pro and Hybrid) to show up in the plugin list that said, I haven't followed up in a while either. It seems to come down to development dollars vs. Plugin compatibility has been one of the biggest issues with this DAW from the get go, but issues do tend to get fixed and the team are aware of most of them. It should be said that I haven't upgraded to v6 just yet, so I'm still running v5.4 from memory. -No VST3 support and some VSTs just don't show up in the plugin scan. That said, the dev team are responsive and tend to get around to everything on the request list sooner or later. I was able to figure out how to get the routing and most of the programs' features up and running without consulting the manual as, for the most part, it's all just there. Some of the more complex editing features do require a trip to RTFM land, but ultimately as I go on I'm finding that I'm learning and consolidating some pretty nifty, time-saving techniques. There are some downsides though, and I think these are some of the main reasons it's so damned cheap. I downloaded the demo on account of the 'analog style' marketing hype, gave it a burl on an old multitrack and was instantly hooked. Read more about FL Studio.Highly rate it. Finally, it’s got a lower profile than many, able to sit underneath most regular kitchen cabinets. “If any piece of it gets run down or stops functioning properly, they take care of it,” Frenkiel says. Plus, as with all Vitamix blenders, it comes with a great warranty - something noted by Green Kitchen Stories co-founder David Frenkiel and recipe developer Sophia Roe. And unlike the One, it can easily handle tougher ingredients like nuts and grains (which means it’s also extra-efficient at crushing ice). It comes with five presets for smoothies, soups, frozen desserts, purées, and a self-cleaning option (you just drop a bit of soap in, whir the motor, and rinse). It’s expensive, yes, but according to everyone who owns one, well worth the investment. Despite the name, it is beloved by professionals and regular cooks alike. On the lowest end, there’s the Vitamix One for $250 - a no-frills but still-powerful option if you don’t need or want a bunch of settings, buttons, and attachments. Like I said before, Vitamix has a lot of blender options. Here, I’ve noted the exact dimensions of each model.Ħ4 ounces | Automatic | 8.5 by 8.5 by 17.25 inches Size: These machines can get bulky, so when choosing one, you want to make sure you’re considering where you’re going to store it and plug it in. Others are manual, so you have to monitor the blending process the whole time. The size you want will be determined by what you plan to use it for most (different if you primarily intend to emulsify salad dressings versus blend smoothies for a few people at a time, for example).Īutomatic or manual: Some blenders on this list are automatic, meaning they have predetermined settings that allow you just to click and walk away. That being said, if you don’t use a blender with a ton of regularity, can’t splurge on something so pricey, or are living in a small space that doesn’t accommodate big appliances, there are plenty of other options with ringing endorsements to back them up.īest overall | Best less expensive | Best even less expensive | Best manual | Best small | Best large Best for smoothies | Best quiet | Most stylish | Best immersionĬapacity: For this category, I’ve listed the maximum capacity for each blender. Many of the people I spoke with own various models - it is, hands down, the most lauded brand across the board, making the kinds of pieces that will last you an actual lifetime. But there are also a lot to choose from, and in an attempt to narrow down the wide and overwhelming field, I asked a bunch of pros and avid cooks about the ones they rely on in their own kitchens.įirst things first: Vitamix reigns supreme in the blender universe. They’re truly so useful, as much of a staple for many people as a stove or microwave. Blenders can purée vegetables into soup, crush nuts into butter, whir dressings and sauces into silky emulsifications, chop ingredients into salsas, and, of course, make smoothies. This award supported a broadly based research effort in theoretical particle physics, including research aimed at uncovering the laws of nature at short (subatomic) and long (cosmological) distances. In order to solve the equation for clusters of interest it is necessary to make a number of approximations and use numerical methods. The analytic solution is only known for a two particle problem. The dimensionality of the Schroedinger equation is determined by the number of particles (nuclei and electrons) in the cluster. The wave function gives all information about the quantum state of the cluster and can be used to calculate different physical and chemical properties, such as photoelectron, X-ray, NMR, EPR spectra, dipole moment, polarizability etc. The other solutions correspond to excited states. The lowest energy solution (wave function) corresponds to the ground state of the cluster. The solution of the Schroedinger equation is a set of eigenvectors (wave functions) and their eigenvalues (energies). This equation represents a multidimensional eigenvalue problem. If one is not interested in dynamics of clusters it is enough to solve the stationary (time-independent) Schroedinger equation (HΦ=EΦ). However, to predict their accurate geometries and other physical and chemical properties it is necessary to solve a Schroedinger equation. Some qualitative information about the geometries of such clusters can be obtained with classical empirical methods, for example geometry optimization using an empirical Lennard-Jones potential. The atomic clusters studied in this work contain from a few atoms to tens of atoms. In addition to accurate results for specific clusters, such methods can be used for benchmarking of different empirical and semiempirical approaches. On the other hand, because of significant advances in quantum chemical methods and computer capabilities, it is now possible to do high quality ab-initio calculations not only on systems of few atoms but on clusters of practical interest as well. However, more » since empirical and semiempirical methods rely on simple models with many parameters, it is often difficult to estimate the quantitative and even qualitative accuracy of the results. These methods allow one to study large and small dusters using the same approximations. Most of the theoretical approaches have been based on empirical or semiempirical methods. The theoretical methods are frequently used to help in interpretation of complex experimental data. However, the interpretation of the results is often difficult. In recent years significant advances in experimental techniques allow one to synthesize and study atomic clusters of specified sizes. Another example is a potential application of atomic clusters in microelectronics, where their band gaps can be adjusted by simply changing cluster sizes. One example is the catalytic activity of clusters of specific sizes in different chemical reactions. Because physical and chemical properties of clusters can be adjusted simply by changing the cluster's size, different applications of atomic clusters were proposed. However, recently it has become clear that many properties of atomic clusters can change drastically with the size of the clusters. For a long time it was thought that physical and chemical properties of atomic dusters monotonically change with increasing size of the cluster from a single atom to a condensed matter system. Atomic clusters are unique objects, which occupy an intermediate position between atoms and condensed matter systems. 3/25/2023 0 Comments Macdive export diveTL DR: you can't buy a PC or Mac version of Lr it ONLY comes as both. So since you can only buy Lr in BOTH PC and Mac you can install, and activate it, on any combo of the two on two separate machines. It's kinda tough to see in the EULA because it doesn't specifically mention this virtually all other Adobe stuff is sold either for Mac OR PC, not both, like Lr. That same thing works with the CC Plan you can legally use it on both your laptop and desktop, and they can either be both Macs, or both PCs, or one Mac and one PC. Lr is different than other software (although not mentioned specifically in the link above) that Adobe makes in that they sold one disc with PC and Mac versions, and the activation code worked on either or both. The actors make the situations believable and do a good job at portraying their varied personas well. They deliver a good balance of humour, conflict, and darker tones. The characters and acting quality is actually pretty good, with a good cast, with lines acted well. And unsurprisingly Bloodshore has both these positives and negatives as a result. The other side of the story is not only the limitations placed on a limited set of video recordings but also the passive nature of watching things unfold vs actually interacting. On the one hand, you literally get photo-realistic quality environments and characters and the immersion that comes with that. The choice to use FMV as the main tool in a game is always an interesting one. These include your audience opinion, the unity of your initial landing group, a love interest score, a strength meter driven by the weapons you hold and team members too, ad finally your Insight which demonstrates how much you’ve managed to uncover about what’s actually going on. Some decisions affect the story, but as well as that, they also affect one of five ratings. The majority of the game plays out in FMV, interspersed with decisions Nick has to make. And so begins a story of choices, survival, and uncovering just what is going on behind the scenes at KillStream. The group of 50 players is split up into 6 landing parties, so initially you are familiarising yourself with a handful Ultimately only one of you will make it out alive and claim the grand prize, so there’s no one you can really trust. Thrown onto the island with you are a bunch of wannabe influencers and Youtube streamers doing it for the fans and stream traffic that comes with it. In Bloodshore, you enter the latest KillStream series as Nick Romeo, a washed-up former child actor. Unfortunately, though, that feeling of deja-vu becomes all too apparent after playing this short game multiple times, and realising its branching storyline is really anything but. Its reality TV, Youtube-obsessed fanbase also feels eerily familiar and relatable, like something we’ve seen before. So yes it has more than a whiff of the popular Netflix series Squid Game, and some Hunger Games too. It’s an FMV game centred around a battle royale where the winner receives a life-changing sum of money. Timing is everything, and in that sense, Bloodshore is right on the money. 3/25/2023 0 Comments Cloudpunk reviewsLike any good dashboard confessional, the flavor and heart of Cloudpunk comes from the myriad of self-contained story arcs and interesting characters Rania meets over the course of her night.
